HEL 16mm or 19mm Billet Radial Brake Master Cylinder Ref: HELMSTRCYL Fully CNC Machined Billet Master Cylinders from HEL Performance
Each master cylinder is CNC machined from solid billets of 6082-T6 aluminium, individually finished and assembled by hand and come with the latest design which allows three leverage ratios from one lever. Providing you with the ultimate adjustability in brake lever feel, modulation for smooth and controllable stopping power.
The lever features a lozenge shaped hole into which one of two plugs are inserted, One has an offset hole – with the hole nearest the master cylinder you get a -1 ratio. If you rotate the plug 180 degrees it offers you a +1 ratio and if you use the plug with a central hole you obtain a 1:1 ratio.
This means that with a 16mm piston master cylinder you can obtain a 15/16, 16/16 and 17/16 from one lever and two inserts.
With the 19mm piston master cylinder you can obtain an 18/19, 19/19 and a 20/19 from one lever and two inserts.
Lever Ratios
16 – Single front brake caliper
18 – More lever travel and 'feel' on twin caliper systems (larger CC models)
19 – Average lever travel but firmer feel – a good all rounder
20 – Less lever travel and the 'firmest feel' on the lever

Most bikes require the 16 mm version, but below are some examples of larger capacity models (i.e., those which have a bigger clutch slave cylinder) which require the 19 mm master cylinder in order to send sufficient fluid to ensure complete clutch disengagement/avoid dragging...

HEL 13mm Rear Master Cylinder Twin PortRef: HRMC-DP
This master cylinder replaces the single line reservoir on a conventional rear system with a twin input and output line system for the addition of, for example, a thumb brake.
The input line hose (for example from a thumb brake to the rear master cylinder) acts as the output hose's reservoir and vice versa, enabling either braking method to be employed (i.e. thumb or foot) as required.
Includes a M10 x 1.00 (output) and M12 x 1.00 (input) banjo bolts and copper crush washers to allow you to connect both foot control and hand control to the rear caliper.
