Further to the recent test Ten-Kate Racing and Honda World Supersport chose to use K-Tech as there Suspension supplier for the 2016 World Supersport season with rider PJ Jacobsen.
After fighting to an excellent second place in the hard-fought 2015 championship, the 22-year-old American from Montgomery, New York, has used pre-season testing to compare three different suspension manufacturers available to the Honda Racing team run by Ten Kate Racing.
After back-to-back tests with the options available, PJ felt confident with the K-Tech product compared to the other suspension options.
Throughout the test PJ was consistently improving lap times using the K-Tech DDS PRO shock and DDS Front Fork cartridges and the team felt this is the best option for the coming season. |
Five out of Nine Podiums for K-Tech at Brands Hatch |

A fantastic five out of nine podiums were K-tech mounted at the final round of the British Superbike Championship round at Brands Hatch. Tyco BMW rider Michael Laverty took his first win of the season in the final race to go with a third place in the previous race, while PBM Kawasaki’s Shane Byrne scored two seconds and a third. But ultimately it was Milwaukee Yamaha’s Josh Brookes that stole the show with two wins and the championship after a superb season.
The 2015 season shows how competitive the British Championship is, with all classes posting lap records at most circuits. K-tech suspension are proud to be at every round including the Isle of Man TT, helping their riders with the best suspension, set up, advice and back up you can get.

The final ‘International’ Road Race of 2015 took place at the infamous Dundrod road circuit from the 3rd to the 8th of August. The Ulster Grand Prix is known as the fastest road race because of its 130+ mph laps.
Lee Johnston who only made his debut in 2012, arrived looking for his first win at the Ulster Grand Prix and went home with not one but three wins in a day, he described it as an absolute dream come true. Riding his East Coast Racing/Burdens BMW he took to the top step of the podium in the 1000cc Superstock race along with a new lap record of 132.793mph, Peter Hickman (Briggs Equipment BMW) finished second with Michael Dunlop (MD Racing BMW) finishing third.
Riding his East Coast Racing/Burdens Triumph 675 in the opening Supersport race Johnston took the race win and another new lap record beating William Dunlop by 3/100ths of a second with Glenn Irwin (Gearlink Kawasaki) taking third. Johnston’s third win of the day along with another fastest lap came in the second Supersport race, British Supersport Championship contender Glenn Irwin led in the early exchanges but when the race was stopped for a red flag incident Johnston was declared the winner with the result taken from the end of the third lap with Irwin second and Ian Hutchinson (Team Traction Control Yamaha) third.
There was also controversy in the first Superbike race which was also red flagged because of an incident, with the win going to Bruce Anstey (Valvoline Racing by Padgetts Honda) from Ian Hutchinson (PBM Kawasaki), taking the fastest lap of the race and Lee Johnston (East Coast Racing/Burdens BMW) getting onto the podium again in third.
Peter Hickman also took his debut win at Ulster in the second Superbike encounter after Johnston and Anstey decided to sit it out due to deteriorating conditions, Conor Cummins (Honda Racing) took a respectful second place and the fastest lap of the race with Michael Dunlop finishing third

Round seven of the MCE British Superbike Championship was held at the very fast and bumpy Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire which as usual turned out to be an action packed weekend in baking sunshine in front of a huge crowd. Championship leader Shane Byrne had a tough weekend but despite a very low qualifying position in 16th place he was able to salvage a fourth and second place in the races. In the second superbike race rookie rider to the class, Luke Mossey secured his first British Superbike podium in third place for the Quattro Plant Tecare Kawasaki team. Many other riders in the class using K-Tech product had good results with some getting their best results of the season on the demanding high speed track!
Riders using K-Tech products in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship had a clean sweep of the podium with Alastair Seeley (Tyco BMW by TAS Racing) taking his third win of the season and championship leader Josh Elliott (Morello Kawasaki) finishing second, Alex Olsen (Moto Breakers Kawasaki) also took his first podium of the season in third place.
In Sunday’s Motorpoint Supersport 600 feature race Jake Dixon (Smiths Racing Triumph) took third place while riders using K-Tech product in the Supersport Evo class took a clean sweep of the podium in the spint race on Saturday with Marshall Neill, Bjorn Estment and Jamie Perrin. Bjorn and Jamie were also able to secure third and second place respectively in the second feature race on Sunday.
All riders were using K-Tech products.

Guy Martin wins TT Solo Championship with K-Tech |

Guy Martin handed BMW Motorrad their first-ever Southern 100 Solo Championship title this week on the Isle Man, whilst joining Joey Dunlop as the only rider to win three in a row at the iconic Manx event. The Solo Championship victory gave Martin his second win of the meeting on his Tyco sponsored BMW Motorrad S100RR Superbike, and with second place in the rearranged Corlett’s Trophy race this morning – it’s been a very successful Southern 100 meeting for the Northern Ireland based team.
Martin said after his narrow victory over Manxman Dan Kneen in the feature race: “We led every lap of nine in the feature race and I’m delighted for everyone involved. The whole package: BMW Motorrad machinery, K-Tech Suspension and Metzeler tyres did us proud. Mint!” |
Ian Hutchinson TT hatrick |

Ian Hutchinson completed a hatrick of wins at the Isle of Man TT Races, fuelled by Monster Energy when he won the second Monster Energy Supersport race today.
Along with his 2 wins in the Monster Energy Supersport class, Victory in the RL360 Superstock class and his 2nd place in the RST Superbike TT race Hutchy is having a fantastic return to racing following his long recovery from injury.
The team Traction Control Yamaha took his 11th TT victory by 14.8 seconds ahead of Bruce Anstey with Guy Martin taking 3rd position and first podium of the week.
With James Hiller in 4th place, Lee Johnston 6th & Dan Kneen in 9th position makes it 6 of the top ten using the latest K-Tech DDS products.
All K-Tech supported riders were using the latest DDS front fork cartridge system and DDS rear shock absorbers. |

K-Tech Suspension had a testing weekend at round five of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Knockhill. With the varied weather conditions over the weekend it was essential for the K-Tech crew to provide the teams with the correct setup and it pulled off as they gained 17 podiums, including 7 race wins.
In the Motorpoint British Supersport race K-Tech supported riders Glenn Irwin and Kyle Ryde took one win each with Glenn Irwin now leading the Championship by one point from Kyle Ryde, In the Supersport Evo class Matt Paulo took his first win of the season in race one with Marshall Neill finishing second in race two.
Josh Elliott took another win in the fiercely competitive Superstock 1000 class, his third of the season with team mate Jon Ingram finishing in third place. In the Superstock 600 class Andrew Irwin gained his first podium of the season with a strong second place.

it was another successful weekend for K-Tech Suspension at round four of the MCE British Superbike Championship at the Snetterton 300 Circuit. Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne using KTR-3 Front forks and DDS Pro shock absorber was back on true form this weekend taking the double win in the Superbike class for the PBM Kawasaki team.
After his stunning podium place at the Donington World Supersport round youngster Kyle Ryde on his Pacedayz Yamaha using K-Tech DDS Package had a strong second place in the sprint race in the Motorpoint British Supersport Class. It was more dramatic in race two when Kyle took the lead from Luke Stapleford but on the last lap Luke lost the front on his Triumph and crashed out clipping the back wheel of Kyle Ryde also causing him to crash. Glenn Irwin was sat in third position and was happy to be elevated to his first win of the season.
Glenn – “K-Tech worked really hard with the Gearlink Kawasaki team on Saturday night and we made some big changes that worked really well for me. It’s great to take my first win of the year and I hope now we can move forward and get some more strong results.”
Josh Elliott took his second win in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 class from fellow Irishman Alastair Seeley, both using K-Tech DDS Cartridge and DDS Pro.
Pacedayz Yamaha rider Benji Currie also took the win in the Superstock 600 class contributing to K-Tech's six wins over the weekend. |

CF Motorsport celebrated after Kyle Ryde put the Pacedayz European Trackdays Yamaha on the podium in the World Supersport race at Donington Park, which was an incredible achievement for everyone concerned with the privately entered and funded team using the K-Tech DDS Package. Running at the front all weekend, Kyle showed no sign of being nervous ahead of his World Supersport debut, qualifying on the front row of the grid before taking the fight to World Championship leader Kenan Sofuoglu and factory MV Agusta rider and multiple WSS race winner Jules Cluzel. PJ Jacobsen also using K-Tech DDS Package finished in a respectful 5th place on his Intermoto Ponyexpress Kawasaki ZX-6R to maintain his 3rd position in the World Championship.
Josh Elliot riding his Morello Racing Kawasaki ZX-10R took to the podium in second place ahead of Alastair Seeley aboard his Tyco BMW S1000RR in third place in this weekend’s Pirelli National Superstock 1000cc class which was a supporting race at the World Superbike meeting. Both riders were using the K-Tech DDS Package.
In addition to contesting the 6th round of the World Supersport championship, the Pacedayz European Trackdays team were also in action in the National Superstock 600cc championship with Ben Currie converting his second row of the grid start into another podium with a fighting ride to 2nd place, just over a second behind the winner. George Stanley also took a strong 5th place finish on his Kawasaki ZX6-R in only his fourth race in the series with Ben Stafford (Silicone Racing Kawasaki ZX-6R) and Tom Booth Amos (Anvil Hire TAG Racing Triumph 675) taking 6th and 7th respectively. |
14 Podiums & 4 Wins for K-Tech at Oulton Park |

It was a hectic weekend once again for the K-Tech Suspension team at round three of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park. The MCE British Superbike class saw two new winners of the season both using K-Tech suspension, in race one Tommy Bridewell riding the Tyco BMW S1000RR took his and the teams debut win of the season and the second race saw Stuart Easton take his first win of the season on his PBM Kawasaki ZX10-R. The second race was action packed when race leader Shakey Byrne was taken out by Ryuichi Kiyonari in the battle for the lead, shaking up what is once again set to be a fantastic Championship, this left third place rider Stuart Easton to take the win by 0.1 sec’s from James Ellison.
The Motorpoint British Supersport class once again produced some of the best racing of the weekend with the top K-Tech rider being young up and coming star Kyle Ryde riding the Pacedayz Yamaha R6, he secured a strong third and second place and now sits second in the Championship standings by one point. After a crash on Sunday when he came together with James Rispoli, Smiths Racing Triumph rider Jake Dixon took a fantastic victory in the main race on Monday.
The Superstock 1000 class saw the Tyco BMW team on the podium again when Alastair Seeley finally got his debut win of the year after some bad luck in the first two races. Josh Elliot riding the Morello Kawasaki ZX10-R took a strong second place in the race to keep his lead in the championship.
In total over all the classes the K-Tech riders took an impressive 14 podiums, including four wins.

K-Tech at The Northwest 200 |

The first international road race meeting of the year, The Northwest 200 took place from the 10th to the 16th of May at the famous ‘triangle’ circuit in Northern Ireland.
Thursday's Supersport race saw Lee Johnston take third position on his East Coast Racing / Burdens Triumph 675 using K-Tech products and Christian Elkin take fourth place in the Supertwin race on his McKinstry Racing Kawasaki ER-6.
In Saturday’s Supersport race Alastair Seeley (Tyco by TAS Racing Suzuki), Glenn Irwin (Gearlink Kawasaki) and Lee Johnston (East Coast Racing/Burdens Triumph 675) had a wheel to wheel battle over the 6 lap race with Seeley taking the win from Irwin and Johnston with the later two using K-Tech products along with six of the top ten finishers.
The Superbike race was again typical NW200 where slipstreaming plays a big part, at the flag it was Alistair Seeley (Tyco BMW Motorrad Racing) who took the win followed by Ian Hutchinson (PBM Kawasaki) and Bruce Anstey (Valvoline Racing Honda by Padgetts) with all three riders using K-Tech products along with eight of the top ten finishers.
The Superstock race also saw seven of the top ten finishers using K-Tech product including all three riders on the podium with Lee Johnston (East Coast racing/Burdens BMW) taking the win from Alastair Seeley (Tyco BMW Motorrad Racing) and Ian Hutchinson (PBM Kawasaki). |
Five BSB Championships ends a succesful year for K-Tech |

Shane 'Shakey' Byrne (Rapid Solicitors PBM Kawasaki) won a historic 4th British Superbike Championship at the final round of the 2014 BSB season at Brands Hatch in Kent last weekend. He was one of five riders who won championships titles using K-Tech DDS products.
Billy McConnell (Smiths Racing Triumph 675) took the Supersport Championship with Alex Olsen (PPR Triumph 675) winning the Supersport Evo class at Donington Park earlier in the year.
Kyle Ryde won the Superstock 600cc class on his CF Racing Yamaha R6 in fine style in a heated final race of the season and Danny Buchan (Tsingtao Racing Kawasaki) won the Superstock 1000 championship at the penultimate round of the series at Silverstone two weeks before where he had been a dominant force all year.
It's a great achievement for K-Tech to have five of the championship winners using their products. All K-Tech products are manufactured in the UK to exacting standards and procedures and the results achieved are a testament to everyone involved.
